    Grazia Piizi Chemistry Project Leader Novartis Grazia Piizzi, currently Chemistry Leader of the Novartis ADC Platform. After my undergraduate studies in Pharmacy at the University of Rome, I moved to UCLA where I received my PhD in Organic Chemistry in 2004, working on the total synthesis of Ouabain. I then continued with a postdoctoral experience at MIT on the synthesis of a potent antitumor natural product: Irofulven. I joined Novartis Global Discovery Chemistry in 2006 and worked on several infectious disease, oncology and cardiovascular programs. Since 2009 I have been leading the medicinal chemistry team involved in the ADC program.
